In 1973, the Sarnoff Citation was established by the Board of Directors to be awarded to a person or club member for significant contributions to the advancement of electronic communications. The Sarnoff Citation has been made to club members who have contributed to advancement of electronic communications in any significant manner,  including nontechnical support of the wireless industry.
