John Miller was appointed Deputy Commissioner for Intelligence and Counterterrorism on Jan 8, 2014.

Deputy Commissioner Miller oversees both the NYPD’s Intelligence Bureau, which is responsible for intelligence
collection and analysis, as well as the NYPD’s Counterterrorism Bureau operations, including the partnership in the FBI/NYPD Joint Terrorism Task Force, the nation’s first and largest JTTF.
