Why Recognition Matters—and How You Can Make an Impact

For over a century, the Radio Club of America has celebrated innovators, leaders, and changemakers through its awards program. In that same spirit, the RCA Fellows distinction honors members who have not only advanced the organization, but have also made meaningful contributions across the wireless industry. Continuing this legacy depends on active participation from the RCA community.

Think about the people in your network who are doing exceptional work. The ones who lead with insight, collaborate effectively, and consistently push boundaries. Some may be driving impact within their organizations, while others are shaping entire segments of the industry through innovation and vision.

Consider those colleagues others turn to for guidance, mentorship, and expertise. The professionals who inspire you, deliver measurable results, and raise the bar for what’s possible. These are the individuals who deserve recognition.

While some awards are reserved for RCA members, that’s a reflection of the remarkable talent within the organization. At the same time, several awards are open to non-members as well—ensuring that excellence across the broader wireless community is acknowledged.

Fellow nominations, in particular, offer an opportunity to spotlight RCA members whose achievements deserve wider recognition. Take a moment to think about who stands out to you.

Submitting a nomination is a meaningful way to contribute—helping elevate others while strengthening the impact and visibility of the Radio Club of America.

ELEVATION TO FELLOW

Elevation to the status of Fellow is by invitation only to those persons who have been a member in good standing for the previous five years and whose contributions to the art and science of Radio Communications or Broadcast or the Radio Club of America are deemed outstanding by the Club.

A candidate for fellow may not be deemed eligible if they have violated the intent of RCA’s By-Laws and/or Constitution or have engaged in other actions deemed prejudicial to the best interest of RCA.
